Whan that Aprille...

And here we have the actual Erin posting. (You can tell because I use capital letters. Flashy, eh?)

Above is Canterbury Cathedral. Or at least, part of it. Stumbled across this angle in trying to take a photo of the whole thing, thought it looked cool, kept it.

Here, for perspective, is the full ceiling with that six-foot cross on the top. Can you pick out the cross at this size?

Took this picture, of a tourist-type kiosk in the middle of the tourist-type Canterbury shops, at Mom's behest. Apparently there are Yankees hats on sale everywhere.

today's quotation from erin (form the 'they might be giants cover of that 50' tune) -- "The sun is a mass of incandescent gas a gigantic nuclear furnace".

today i learned from erin how to upload images from photobucket so that they are the right size with all the 'ugly while stuff' as erin says, gone.... she deserves some of your money. please send it via me (i get 10%). erin made me write this.

btw the cross in the picture is 6 feet tall (at 280 feet away it just looks small!). for all you hun's in baltimore here is a trivia question: how big is the dot on the domino's sugar sign?

English (with American translation)

I received my first language lesson yesterday. The first picture above is a mobile phone (for those in the states say the following very slower having a hard time wrapping your lips around 'moe-bye-el') [American translation: cell phone]. today we when to Canterbury Cathedral where the above sign was to be found. as a tourist trap they translated the English phrase "way out" into three other languages (email me if you want to know the three :) ). finally, on the way home i asked if i needed to pay first for the 'gas' (oops). after some blank looks i ask about some petrol [American translation: gas]. today's highlight was a guided tour of the cathedral. the theologian impressed the guide with the depth of her knowledge :) dinner time!
